A SPIRITUAL SHIFTING: THE RETURN ISRAEL AND MESSIAH ARE COMING!

After watching a screening of The Harbingers of Things to Come, The Return Co-Founders Rabbi Jonathan Cahn and Rev. Kevin Jessip began an ongoing conversation, coming to believe that The Return – the largest live broadcast in Christian history – is having a tremendous impact, the overturning of Roe v. Wade, a ruling strengthening school prayer, and an advancement toward a return to righteousness that is unfolding in the run-up to The Return Israel in Jerusalem.

When 250,000 people gathered on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on September 26, 2020 for The Return: National and Global Day of Prayer and Repentance, many hoped that the first day of national repentance since the Civil War would inspire God to intervene in America’s political quagmire, reversing the nation’s nosedive toward judgment.  

         At critical moments in American history – from the Revolutionary War to the Civil War – from George Washington to Abraham Lincoln, presidents on dozens of occasions sought God’s miraculous intervention via national days of repentance.

         The last such event, before The Return, occurred in 1863 at the height of the Civil War when Lincoln called for a Day of National Humiliation, Fasting, and Prayer, asking God to intervene in the nation’s bloodiest conflict, saying: “… the awful calamity of civil war which now desolates the land may be but a punishment inflicted upon us for our presumptuous sins…. We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven; we have been preserved these many years in peace and prosperity; we have grown in numbers, wealth, and power as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have … vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become … too proud to pray to the God that made us. It behooves us, then, to humble ourselves before the offended Power, to confess our national sins….”

         Two days later, Confederate General “Stonewall” Jackson was fatally wounded in a freak accident by one of his own guards. Two months later, the South lost the Battle of Gettysburg. In God’s mercy, the war soon ended. Having seen how many prayed, fasted, and repented, God restored America, and Lincoln — often named in polls as one of America’s best presidents – went on to free African American slaves, ending the scourge of slavery.

         Today, a century and a half later, when America seems intractably divided and our country is facing countless threats, including nuclear attack from Russia, China and North Korea as well as megadrought, intensifying natural disasters, soaring inflation and a looming global recession or worse, we believe the Holy Spirit is working a bigger plan with an eternal impact.

America Awakening to the Dangers of Globalism and Rising Antichrist System

Since The Return, after witnessing the devastating pandemic, riots, violence, and massive societal changes, much of America and the Church has awoken to the dangers that powerful globalist forces, both within America and abroad, pose not only to the future of the United States, but to freedom, liberty, and democracy worldwide.

Several years ago, while working with former U.S. Rep. Trent Franks who was chairman of the Congressional EMP Commission to harden our electrical grid and make it resilient against electromagnetic attack, he told me (Rev. Kevin Jessip) that the biggest battle America would face is the one for religious freedom and liberty, and for freedom itself.

A recent Freedom House report found global freedom is facing a “dire threat” and the “global order is nearing a tipping point, and if democracy’s defenders do not work together to help guarantee freedom for all people, the authoritarian model will prevail.” The authors noted that the “present threat to democracy is the product of 16 consecutive years of decline in global freedom.”

Today, globalists in America and worldwide are openly advocating for technocratic global governance, as we saw during the pandemic, with political influence transferred to the hands of unelected scientific and medical experts.

Many Bible prophecy experts believe this new system of governance could be a precursor to the form of totalitarian world government the book of Revelation reveals will arise when the Antichrist comes to power during the Tribulation and people are unable to “buy or sell” (Revelation 13:17) without the “mark of the beast.”

America, and the world, now finds itself at a defining moment as the Holy Spirit is awakening the body of Christ and hope is growing that the forces behind the World Economic Forum’s “Great Reset” plan — and what President Joe Biden described as the “New World Order” that America must lead — will be confounded, as the end-times awakening millions are praying for ignites.

Reverberations from The Return

         After attending a recent screening of The Return Co-Founder Rabbi Jonathan Cahn’s new movie — The Harbingers of Things to Come — Rabbi Cahn and I (Rev. Jessip) began an ongoing conversation about the spiritual impact of The Return that was seen by about 42 million people around the world.   

         Following the historic U.S. Supreme Court decision in late June that overturned Roe v. Wade, declaring that the right to abortion no longer exists, our conversation intensified, as we realized that a string of serendipitous events unfolded on that day that only the Holy Spirit could have orchestrated.

         We discovered that at the very moment our shofars were sounding on the National Mall, former President Donald Trump was nominating Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, who would ultimately be the final vote to overturn Roe. v. Wade. Now we are also seeing decisive steps forward for the return of prayer to our schools, stronger families, and a return to biblical marriage.

         At the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America “Messiah 2022” conference July 3-9 at Messiah University in Grantham, Pennsylvania, Rabbi Cahn, senior rabbi at the Beth Israel Jerusalem Center in Wayne, New Jersey, spoke about the reverberations of The Return upon America and the world.

         “Fifty years ago, we took the right to kill children,” Rabbi Cahn told the MJAA. “Fifty years later, it is being taken away. Praise God. That Jubilee (defined as ‘a year of emancipation and restoration provided by ancient Hebrew law to be kept every 50 years by the emancipation of enslaved Hebrews.’) was the reversal of what had been done since the last Jubilee. So, the 50^th year after the Supreme Court (legalized abortion) is the Jubilee and they have undone what they did 50 years ago.”

         “And it all happened through a man named Donald Trump. No matter what you think of him, one way or another, it only happened because he was president. Three of the six Supreme Court justices who voted on this ruling were appointed by President Trump. You may say, ‘But he is not a godly man. He’s a crazy man.’ Well, God is sovereign. He’ll use whom He’ll use. You never know with God. Just when you think it’s hopeless, God has a tendency to show up. The vote on this was 6-3, but the vote that actually overturned Roe v. Wade was 5-4. It happened by one single vote. It only happened because of the last Supreme Court justice that Trump appointed (Barrett).”

         In his book The Paradigm, Rabbi Cahn wrote that Trump was a Jehu (the Israelite king who dismantled the system of Baal worship that Jezebel put into place which sanctioned the killing of the nation’s children) figure to America.

         In a July 2, 2019 letter to Trump, I wrote that King Jehu was a leader who came to power in times similar to these: “He was one of those decisive, ambitious, calculating, passionate men whom God, from time to time, raises up to change the fate of nations and to fulfill His will…. He had a sense of destiny about him…. The nation was reeling from the impact of a wicked, fallen government…. But King Jehu failed in his mission. The bottom line proved to be pride and self-achievement…. A nation that had so desperately bound together in hope for a new direction began to fall under divine judgement….”

PART 2
THE RETURN, ROE V. WADE AND PROPHETIC REVIVAL

         Several months before Joe Biden assumed the presidency in January 2021 following a tumultuous and controversial election, President Donald Trump nominated Any Coney Barrett to the U.S. Supreme Court.

         Incredibly, this occurred on the day of The Return: National and Global Day of Prayer and Repentance on September 26, 2020, because liberal Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had died on September 18.

         Her death fell on the Feast of Trumpets, a time of returning, of coming back, of righting wrongs, or what is known as Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year beginning the Ten Days of Awe, or days of repentance in Israel, ending on Yom Kippur.

         “Now the last time I spoke to you here I spoke of revival,” New York Times bestselling author Rabbi Jonathan Cahn told the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America “Messiah 2022” conference July 3-9 at Messiah University in Grantham, Pennsylvania. “I told you how God turned the history of America around in 1980 because of an event on the National Mall based on 2 Chronicles 7:14: (‘If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land’).

         “Well, since we were last together, I was led by a man of God, a friend named Kevin Jessip, to actually (join him in a) call for a National Day of Prayer and Repentance on the National Mall. It was planned (through prayer for five years, culminating in) 2019 before all these things happened and the mall was reserved for that day. We were led to call it The Return and eight days before the event the justice was removed by death on the Feast of Trumpets.”

         Shortly before The Return took place, we realized the date we picked was Shabbat T’shuvah, the Sabbath of Return. And it was during that event that Trump issued a proclamation for the “National Day of Prayer and Return.”

         On that day, at about 5 p.m., with everyone ready to “seal The Return,” Rabbi Cahn proclaimed: “From here, as we seal The Return and the power of God, now Lord let the sound of your power go forward to the world in Jesus, Yeshua’s name. Go!”

         And then, as the shofars were blasting on the National Mall, Trump was in the Rose Garden swearing Barrett in as a new Supreme Court justice, setting in motion the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

         “The time the president opened his mouth to set the end of abortion was 5:04 p.m.,” Rabbi Cahn told MJAA. “The overturning was said in the same month, the same week, the same holy day, the same hour, the same minute, on the day appointed by God. Our God is real. Our God is true. Our God is faithful. The ways of the Almighty are awesome, and he has heard the prayers of his people and his right hand has moved mightily. He has humbled the mighty. He has lifted up the humble and the defenseless. He has made His wonders known throughout the Earth. Our God is God and King of all the Earth.”

         The Lord honored our prayers that day. Had the event ran just a little late, if anyone had not spoken or praised God exactly for as long as they did, the timing would not have converged with Trump’s swearing in of Barrett.

         “Don’t tell me God doesn’t answer prayers,” Rabbi Cahn said. “Don’t tell me that God cannot change the course of history. What does it mean? Will this be the beginning of revival, a return, or will it be a catalyst for the further dividing of a nation under judgment? The only thing that can save America now is revival. We are the living embodiments of a prophetic revival. We especially have to pray for revival as never before. The forces of darkness in this land are powerful. An entire generation is brainwashed against God. And we know that this is far from ending abortion, but even if one life is saved, it’s all worth it.”

Prayer Requests to Turn America Back to Righteousness

         As we begin to witness the fruits of The Return, we’d like to ask you to begin praying for several critical things to help turn America back to righteousness, all of which will require Supreme Court rulings.

         Since America’s founding, Bible reading, prayer, and the display of the Ten Commandments in schools has been a common practice, a foundational aspect of the education children received in a country based on Judeo-Christian principles as detailed in the Mayflower Compact and later in the Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.

         These documents, especially the Mayflower Compact, are a key component of The Return repentance and revival movement.

         In the next step after The Return as part of the five-step process (Repentance, Reconciliation, Restoration, Revival, Reformation) the ancient Israelites would follow at times of crisis, faith leaders gathered January 8 at the 10,000-seat Strawberry Festival Amphitheater in Plant City, Florida for The Renewal: Restoring America’s Founding Covenant. About 8.5 million people watched the event on television or via simulcast.

         This day of prayer and worship was dedicated to the American renewal of the covenant the Pilgrims made with God four centuries ago in the Mayflower Compact. In this document, the Pilgrims dedicated America to God and the “advancements of the Christian faith.”

         Throughout history, only two nations have been tied together by covenants with God. God made a covenant with Israel, but America made a covenant with God in the Mayflower Compact. America has broken the covenant made by our forefathers and this has brought our once blessed nation under the judgments of God.

‘Pilgrim Fathers’ Pastor John Robinson and ‘Poet of Freedom” Friedrich von Schiller

         Providentially, I (Rev. Jessip) am a descendant of “Pilgrim Fathers” Pastor John Robinson who sent the Pilgrims on the Mayflower to America in 1620. He delivered the farewell sermon (based on Colossians 3:12-15) to the Pilgrims who were escaping persecution and wrote a divorcement letter (based on 2 Corinthians 6:14-18) to the Church of England.

         Serendipitously, I (Troy Anderson) am a descendant of poet, playwright and philosopher Friedrich von Schiller who is best known for writing the poem “Ode to Joy” that Ludwig van Beethoven set to music in the Ninth Symphony, now the anthem of the European Union.

         Schiller also wrote the play Wilhelm Tell about a Swiss herdsman who freed himself from the tyrannical yoke of an emperor and played an important role in the Civil War. Schiller admirers becoming connected with anti-slavery activists helped elect Lincoln and to a large degree helped Lincoln win the Civil War. More than 250,000 German Americans, including several generals, fought on Lincoln’s side during the war and many carried Schiller’s works in their knapsacks. Frederick Douglass, a former slave and leading spokesman for the rights of African Americans, called Schiller the “Poet of Freedom.”

         We believe our friendship, which began in 2015 during a meeting at Charisma Media when I (Anderson) was executive editor, stems from a divine appointment and prophetic destiny involving Robinson and Schiller that brought our paths together centuries later, which the Holy Spirit has used to help bring about The Return, Africa Returns, The Renewal, countless miracles, and now a book we’re writing, along with The Return Israel and other upcoming events.

         As we, and countless others involved in The Return, prepare for The Return Israel, we would like to ask you to pray for:

• The return of prayer to schools.
• The return of Bible reading to schools.
• The overturning of same-sex marriage and return of the legal definition of the institution of marriage as between one man and one woman.
• The Ten Commandments to be displayed and taught in schools and returned to the public square, government buildings and courthouses nationwide.

PART 3
THE RETURN ISRAEL: DRESS REHEARSAL FOR THE SECOND COMING

         As we saw with The Return: National and Global Day of Prayer and Repentance on September 26, 2020 on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., if America can be rocked through a sacred day of prayer — just imagine what God has in store when the nations gather in Jerusalem.

         It has been called a dress rehearsal for the second coming of Messiah: a global convergence of His elect from the nations to The Return Israel in Jerusalem. Like The Return, many will attend the event in person and millions will join us via live streaming.

         Over several days, at a date to be determined in 2024, we will bless Israel from north to south with acts of service, prayer, and reconciliation, with worship and celebration. We will raise up a new generation to reconcile with our Jewish brothers and restore the deep treasures of our biblical heritage.

Cultivation: Next Generation

         In the Galilee and Mt. Carmel regions, young adults will walk in Yeshua’s steps, serving the people of Israel through the Beautiful Land project, or working alongside archaeologists to restore the ancient heritage of the land.

         Their time in the north climaxes with a final night of worship on Mount Carmel before they join with the nations in Jerusalem.

Reconciliation: A Holy Gathering

         In the heart of Israel, believers from around the world will assemble in the City of Jerusalem — joined by millions of prayer warriors worldwide — as we stand in repentance and reconciliation with our Jewish brothers. There we will pray for the peace of Jerusalem and intercede for the people of Israel.

Celebration: A Night of Worship

         On the final day, we gather in southern Israel for baptisms at the Jordan River and tours of this incredible region, including the fabled Masada at the Dead Sea. That evening, we will join together for a tremendous night of praise, worship, and victory at the foot of the ancient fortress.

Miniseries: Transformed Lives

         To prepare hearts for The Return Israel is a film series event that brings the Land of Israel to life, showing its miraculous transformation from a wasteland back to the promised land. In each episode, this anointed travelogue will transport viewers to the Bible’s key places, unfolding God’s plan for His chosen people — and patterns marking the end of the age.
