What time do the gates open to enter The Return Event?

The National Mall is open to the public 24 hours a day. We were able to make a number of changes so that the event is open to the public and there are now no gates you’ll need to enter through.

Do I need to bring my ticket with me to enter The Return Event?

No. Because of recent changes there is no need. This event is open to the public.

Do I need to bring my own chair or blanket?

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no chairs provided at the event. We suggest you bring your own chair/ blanket to the National Mall or if you’re o.k. sitting on the grass, or standing.

Can I bring food, snacks and water into The National Mall?

Yes. And it’s a good idea to bring snacks.

Do you know if there are any restrictions of items that will not be allowed at the National Mall (i.e. backpacks, large purses, chairs, blankets, etc.)?

All soft shell coolers, backpacks, packages, and persons will be subject to inspection but are allowed.

PROHIBITED ITEMS INCLUDE:
Roller Coolers, Alcoholic Beverages, Aerosols, Ammunition, Balloons, Explosives, Firearms, Fireworks, Glass containers, Laser Pointers, Mace/Pepper Spray, Structures (folding tables, tents, etc.), Supports for signs, Unmanned Aerial System (Drones, Remote Control Aircraft), Weapons of Any Kind, Any other item determined to be a potential hazard
*Packages are permissible but subject to inspection.

Is there parking at The National Mall?

Visitor parking is available along Ohio Drive, SW between the Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson Memorials. This parking is metered parking: $2.30 per hour for a maximum of 3 hours (not renewable at that same location), and is in effect from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. daily (including weekends and holidays, except December 25).

There are multiple parking garages in the city. You MUST ensure that parking garages remain open or have an automated door for late exit if you plan on staying until the end of The Return.

Will the recommended hotels offer shuttles to the National Mall?

There are no official shuttles for transport during The Return. We encourage you to ask your hotel prior to booking if they have transportation to local spots. There will be an emergency shuttle on-site should you or someone traveling with you become ill or COVID-19 symptomatic at the event.

What will the restrictions be due to COVID-19?

Please refer to the COVID-19 page at TheReturn.org or visit coronavirus.dc.gov. The Return will adhere to all city ordinances, rules, and regulations with regard to COVID-19.

What street will the entrances be located?

Changes had to be made with regard to COVID regulations which now means, The Return will be open to the public. You will not be required to pass any entry point for entry into the National Mall.

Where will the stage be located?

The Return will be hosted on Panel 18-20 of the National Mall. The stage will be located at the corner of Madison and 12th Avenue.

Will I be able to pass out literature, Bibles at The Return?

Due to restrictions in place for COVID-19, literature cannot be passed out within the perimeter of The Return.

Will there be food trucks available at the event?

Yes, food trucks will be present on the Mall during The Return on Friday and Saturday.

Will there be restrooms available?

There will be porto-sans onsite.

If I bring a Shofar, can I sound it at any time?

No, that would distract others from what God is ministering. But there will be a special time for it near the finale of the Day Program – So hold back until then, it will be more than worth it.

Where do buses drop off attendees and park?

There are 19 bus drop off spots along the National Mall located along 1700 – 2200 block Constitution Avenue, NW National Mall. There are additional drop zones along Jefferson Drive, traveling West toward 14th Street. These are drop and load zones only.

Bus parking is available primarily along Ohio Drive, SW near the Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson Memorials and along Ohio Drive, SW in East Potomac Park. There is additional Parking on Independence Avenue and Lafayette Park.
